History
Al-Jamia
Al-Zahra was
bought on 13
November 2001
by the founder and President of the school,
Professor Pir
Syed Ahmad
Hussain Shah Trimezi.
The name of the school is Al-Jamia Al-Zahra and the name of the charity
is Shah Walayat
Foundation. The
building we bought is an old and very beautiful Victorian house that was
built in 1872.
Sometime during the 1900's the building was sold and converted into
private flats. At this time many and much of the original architecture
and structure of the building was demolished creating many new rooms
inside the building. When
Shah Walayat Foundation
purchased the
premises, we had to totally knock down all the walls on the ground floor
to create a prayer hall whilst on the first floor and second floors of
the building, all the rooms remained the same but converted into
teaching classes and play areas.
Through a bitterly cold
and harsh winter a team of devoted helpers gave there time and effort to
begin the big clean-up process of renovating the whole building. Many
hours of working in candle lit rooms and electric heaters were the only
source of energy for the devoted team of workers but with the
Grace of Allah
and the prayers of their
Pir O Murshid
all became accomplished. |
