We are unique at Al-Jamia Al-Zahra and there is always something going on... a spiritual gathering every month... some times several times in a month... we are Al-Jamia Al-Zahra.

We are in the holy month of Rabi Al-Awwal. Throughout this month we are celebrating the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

On 14 March 2008 (6 Rabi Al-Awwal 1429H) we organised a procession through the streets of Halifax under the leadership of Professor Syed Ahmad Hussain Shah Tirmezi. On Saturday, 15 March 2008 (7th Rabi Al-Awwal 1429H) we had a gathering to mark this very special event scholars from around the world attended this event and gave special lectures about the final messenger of God, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). View the photo gallery.

Undoubtedly on 19 March 2008 (12th Rabi Al-Awwal 1429H) we had two gatherings to celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). One was held in the early morning (the time of birth of the Prophet (PBUH)) and one was held later.

The month of Rabi Al-Thaa-nee is approaching, in this blessed month on the 11th, Syed Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA) was born. Syed Abdul Qadir Jilani was a great sufi scholar and to mark this great event we shall be holding a gathering, this gathering is also known as "Bari Giyarwee Shareef". Join us to learn about this great friend of Allah (SWT), great sufi master, great scholar of Islam, saint of saints Syed Abdul Qadir Jilani.
